Know what you can spend before payday

MyGood estimates what remains in your pay period after your budgeted commitments. A useful daily estimate starts with available cash, subtracts those commitments and reserves, and divides by the days until payday.

The problem to solve

A positive balance does not mean all of that money is available to spend. A useful estimate needs current expenses, upcoming bills, and enough time to cover the entire pay period.

A hypothetical example

Illustration in USD, not a customer result.
Available cash$900
Bills still to cover$400
Essential spending already reserved$200
Cash reserve$100
Remaining until payday$200
Days remaining8
Daily estimate$25

Here the $200 essential-spending reserve is separate from the $25 daily discretionary estimate. Do not count the same spending twice, and do not forget pending transactions.

How MyGood helps

The MyGood dashboard shows a safe-to-spend amount and daily figure based on your plan and recorded expenses. Manual tracking is free; optional bank syncing is available with Pro. No estimate can account for a bill you have not included.

See plans and pricing or change the numbers in the public planner.

Common questions

Is safe-to-spend the same as my bank balance?

No. It is an estimate after the commitments included in your budget. Your bank balance may include money already needed for bills.

What happens if my remaining money is negative?

That is a shortfall. The public planner shows the gap separately and gives a daily spending estimate of zero.

Do I need to sign up to try it?

No. The public paycheck planner works in your browser without an account.
