Connect Claude to MyGood

MyGood Pro lets you connect Claude — or any Model Context Protocol (MCP) client — to your budget, so you can manage your spending by chat. Ask things like "How much can I safely spend per day until my next paycheck?" or "Create a Coffee category budgeted at $60."

Requirements

  • A MyGood Pro subscription.
  • An MCP-capable client (e.g. Claude on web or desktop). Custom connectors are not available in the Claude mobile app.

How to connect

  1. In Claude, open your profile → Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Enter the MyGood connector URL: https://mcp.mygood.io/mcp
  3. You'll be sent to sign in to MyGood and shown a consent screen describing exactly what access you're granting. Click Allow access.
  4. That's it — start asking Claude about your budget.

You can revoke access at any time from your AI app; a lapsed Pro subscription also disables the connection automatically.

What Claude can do

  • See your money picture — income, spending, what's left per paycheck, safe-to-spend per day, and upcoming bills.
  • Browse your activity — list your categories, and look up expenses and received paychecks by date or category.
  • Manage categories — create categories and set budgeted amounts and payment days.
  • Track spending & income — add, edit, or remove expenses and record the paychecks you receive (only if you grant write access).
  • Reconcile your checking account — match your records to the bank balance (checkbook style) and catch a missing, duplicate, or mis-keyed transaction.
  • Sync your bank — pull the latest transactions and match them to what you've logged, import new expenses or paychecks, or dismiss ones you don't need (requires a connected bank).

Claude cannot see your password, payment-card details, or connected bank credentials.

Privacy & security

  • Access uses OAuth 2.0 with an explicit consent screen — nothing is shared until you approve it.
  • Your budget data is shared only with the AI app you choose to connect, and is processed by that provider under their own privacy terms.
  • Every change made through the integration is recorded in an audit trail.
